Advent: Poem

Coffee turns to tea,
no time for sympathy.

Walking to wandering,
finding something inside of me.

Driving to empty spaces,
looking for open faces.

Broken bottles and broken glass,
things that look clear don't always last.

Picking up the missing parts,
together finding what can spark.

Belong is never gone,
hope is ever long.

Dancing snow & mistletoe,
aroma of the familiar and the found.

Love that lasts,
what melts is whole again.

Sacrifice in the shadows,
Majesty in the meadows.

Grace on the ground,
and a home that is found.
